May you die in pieces
I just have to get this off me, about the guy who introduced the Pomeranian to the floor in Sengkang and left a bloody mess of tissue and bones at the void deck. It seriously disgusts me as to how something like this can take place in the open and nobody went in to stop (yes, there were witnesses). You claim that you were afraid that the guy would retaliate and his you. What if the one being bashed was a human? A small girl or boy? Would you stand there and just watch for 10 minutes and thinking "Oh, someone will go over to help soon" or that "Maybe I should just call the police".

Singapore has a lack of animal right laws, many would be thinking, 'Oh come on it's just a dog'. But isn't it a life as well? If you were to think that such an inhumane form of torture and murder of an animal was "ok" in your opinion, then what makes you any different from a savage beast? Then why aren't you the one who is getting bashed out there, just because you were born with a intellectually capable mind and able body. What defines a humane action? Ghandi couldn't have put it better, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."; Look at the way Singaporeans treat animals : Complaining about stray cats and dogs as they are like, health hazards or eyesores or potential nuisance; animal abuse such as this; abandoning pets that they do not want to be burdened by( yes, burden); the SPCA's gone to the dogs (pun intended) and the AVA's animal welfare department is smaller than my family. How I wish that we could be a nation of, if not animal lovers, people who at the very least respect the existence of life around us, and that all sentient forms of life are equal. The only reasons which I can justify for killing animals are

1)For food and survival.
2)For self defense, if the animal is attacking.
3)If the animal is suffering from some illness which cannot be cured and must be euthanized.

And all of which should be done swift and with as little suffering as possible. It's good to know that there is a size-able group of Singaporeans who are true animal lovers, but the vast majority of the population still has a long way to go.

Sorry for this post completely unrelated to me, but if you found it stupid that I had to say all that, chances are you are one of the vast majority that I talked about as well.

To the dog's murderer: Best go buy some painkillers, probably a lifetime supply, you'll need it when you burn in hell.
